Neighbourhood Suggestion Box

The installation of a suggestions box, on the site perimeter, can help to establish a good relationship with the local community.

Some members of the public may prefer leaving a suggestion for improvement, by posting through the suggestion box, rather than approaching a member of the workforce on site.

This is also a great way to gather feedback from the local community and react to sensible suggestions; to continuously improve your site image.

  • Sites have added a suggestion box to the hoardings and asked ‘Are we a good neighbour?’ The suggestion box was promoted through a monthly newsletter to residents, where a comments slip at the bottom of the newsletter encouraged feedback. Suggestions were considered and reacted to on a weekly basis, with the best ideas featuring in follow up editions of the newsletter, along with thank you messages;
  • All comments were put into a monthly raffle for a prize e.g. M&S voucher, to further encourage feedback.
