Neurodiversity Inclusion Project

This contractor has invited a range of groups representing people with neurodiversity, mental and physical barriers along with other hidden disabilities including NHS Employment Specialist Advisers, People4Skills and Don’t Dis My Ability/One Community who completed a formal site audit to inform future actions.

The themes are inclusive site set up, mental health support and meeting the needs of the current and future workforce. The actions are based on the lived experience of real people wanting to work but facing barriers and forms part of their standard continuous improvement process.

The engagement process has produced information that the business has been previously unaware of and is sponsored at Board level. They are now looking at a pathway for young people experiencing barriers into the business with these groups.
