Neurodiversity Mentoring

The Senior Construction Manager on this project offers neurodiversity mentoring to colleagues in the industry. They provide individual support and guidance to those with neurodiversity conditions, such as autism, ADHD, or dyslexia. They holds monthly 1 to 1 sessions to provide support whilst going through the diagnosis process, advice on the reasonable adjustments the company should consider and their legal rights.

Neurodiversity mentoring recognizes and values the unique strengths and perspectives of individuals with neurodiverse conditions, such as autism, ADHD, or dyslexia. Instead of trying to “fix” or change these individuals, neurodiversity mentoring seeks to support and empower them to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.

This is a departure from traditional models of mentoring, which focus on fitting in with societal norms and expectations. It also helps to break down stigma and promote greater understanding and acceptance of neurodiversity. By providing support and guidance to neurodiverse individuals, neurodiversity mentoring can help to create more inclusive and diverse teams
