Noise Action Week

As part of the national Noise Action Week, here at Team Redhill we wanted to highlight the general day to day noise intrusion that is created in a building site, but also within the whole community.

We had a week long site promotion informing site operatives how we can all take measures to reduce and potentially stop, unnecessary noise that can become irritating to others and ourselves.

Alongside the promotion we were also concerned about how construction noise can affect ourselves by conducting hearing tests with a qualified health provider.

A number of operatives and staff that were interested in finding out took part in the tests to check their hearing levels. These tests certainly helped raise awareness on site.

To further back this Noise Action Week initiative, and to emphasise the importance of best practice on noise defence, we had a designated safety equipment provider visit site, to show us all the different types of ear defenders and methods which we can take to protect our hearing.
