On Site Asphalt Production

This contractor have commissioned an asphalt plant on site thereby reducing vehicle movements on road networks, reducing transportation distance as well as reducing CO2 emissions.

It is estimated that by producing asphalt on site and reducing transportation, the contractor has saved approx. 270,000kg carbon dioxide based on 3814 return journeys to the nearest asphalt plant.

The asphalt plant has many benefits including only producing asphalt as demand requires on site therefore reducing wastage, reduced haulage time and less disruption to local road network.
