Regular and updated health and safety training is vitally important for all members of the workforce.

A well maintained training schedule or training matrix ensures that the competency of the workforce is regularly assessed and monitored throughout their employment.

It also highlights the need for refresher training and gives confidence to all concerned, importantly to our employees but also the customer and ultimately our management.

We have specific training and yearly refresher training for our workforce which includes:

  • CSTS confined spaces;
  • Health & Safety CIEH;
  • Spanset height safety equipment & inspection;
  • Quality ISO 9001;
  • Environmental ISO 14001;
  • Health & Safety management ISO 18001.

Our Health & Safety Officer does weekly site visits and has NEBOSH Health & Safety Training National Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety and the International General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.

All our operatives are trained in COSHH awareness, with work risk assessed and method statements form our safe system of work.

The training matrix allows for regular reviews to be conducted and any gaps in knowledge to be covered using toolbox talks or further training assessments.

Such measures give confidence to all concerned, importantly to our employees and customers, as well as continuously developing the workforce.
