On Wave Locator Tag

On this project they have utilised the On Wave Locator (OWL) tag system provided by Onwave on one of their Archaeological Trial Trench sites on the northern section of the project.

The trial consisted of four plus tags to be worn by site personnel and two pro tags attached to an excavator and tracked buggy to simulate a virtual exclusion zone around the moving plant.

The system enabled users to be alerted to their presence when within the exclusion zone via visual, audial, and physical alerts. During the trial a control hub was setup in the main project office where live data was available to view.

This setup enabled Health and Safety and Management teams to review the data (past and present) and evaluate if issues onsite require addressing. Using the online web portal, the data can be extracted to charts.
