Operative Feet Scans

Construction workers must wear protective footwear whilst on site. The bones in the foot are quite delicate and easily damaged and any muscle or tendon damage can prevent normal movement for several months or permanently.

Therefore this contractor organised 360 degree surveys of the workforce’s feet carried out on site. They engaged with their PPE suppliers and looked for a solution to provide further comfort in new footwear.

They held an open day presenting bespoke footwear innersoles which are inserted into new boots to release the initial pressure points and maximise comfort.

Individuals were also scanned on a stand plate which transfers information into a programme by undertaking a scan of the operatives underfoot contour and identifying individual foot pressure points.
