Petrogen Hot Cutting System

Petrogen is a hot cutting system designed to cut steel up to 30cm thick, which is able to cut more quickly and safely than other hot cutting systems.

The Petrogen torch is similar in operation to an oxy-acetylene torch but uses petrol instead of acetylene as the fuel.

  • Increased cutting speed particularly for metal thickness greater than 25mm
  • Reduced airborne contamination
  • Readily available fuel
  • Increased operator safety
  • Reduced cost of operation

Safety Features:

  • Cannot flash back up the fuel line
  • Fuel leaks can be detected
  • Only low pressure needed in the fuel container
  • Fast flow check valves shuts off at the container if there was a hose rupture
  • The container has a pressure relief valve which opens at 35 – 40 psi
  • Check valve in the container prevents any fuel spillage
  • Tips and torch heads run cool
  • Sparks are cool and light
  • Removes all hazards/ risks associated with the STIHL saw
