The control of dust is crucial during site activities, especially in high density residential areas.

A solution was required to reduce dust over weekends and other periods of non-site activity.

Dust Ace, mixed with water, coats individual dust particles with a thin adhesive film that binds and packs the dust and as a result reduces dust particles in the environment.

Costain, Vinci Construction Grands Projets and Bachy Soletanche (CVB) joint venture is using polymer dust suppressors to minimise potential dust impacts on their surrounding communities.

The benefits of polymer dust suppression include:

  • Reduced water consumption
  • Reduced operation time of water spraying plant
  • Additional PPE not required for use
  • Not dependent on nearby water source
  • Protects third parties from potential dust nuisance
