Polystyrene Formers Diverted from Landfill

This contractor worked closely with their client and supplier to source a recyclable polystyrene product that could be used as a former for the permanent works. Ensuring that all product delivered could be returned to the supplier once the project came to an end.

As part of their strive to integrate sustainability in the works they have looked at ways to divert the polystyrene waste from landfill by either sending back to the supplier for recycling or reusing it on other projects.

On one project alone the project team were able to divert 140m3 of polystyrene from landfill.
