On this project they have strived to find new products and ways to ensure that they increase safety, efficiency, sustainability and cost effectiveness.

One product they have found is Powertrack, which is a low-level modular system which distributes lighting and power across construction sites, its made up of eleven profiles that can be moved and modified in minutes.

They estimated that the traditional temporary site set up for Powertrack would take two electricians approximately six days, however the 153 profiles they used took just over 3 hours to install, this included the delivery and testing of them, this meant that in one working day they had their complete temporary power and lighting on site and allowed them to start the construction works one week ahead of programme.

Using Powertrack mean that they saved around 100 hours or working at height and at the same time reduced the amount of access equipment required on site. It also lead to huge reduction in onsite trailing leads which are a hazard on sites.
