This contractor collaborated with their M&E installer to bring pre-insulated ducts to site this meant they were ready for installation into the risers, this had an environmental benefit as it reduced the need for additional packaging, transport, and manufacturing costs.
This helped them to positively impact the project’s environmental footprint by reducing carbon emissions, waste generation, and energy consumption.
It also reduced the need for insulation work on-site so they were able to reduce the work at height risk, as well as minimise the risk of working in cramped spaces that can often lead to accidents.
Overall, this was a more sustainable solution that helped to reduce the project’s overall environmental impact while improving their safety on-site.
