Preparing Students for the Future

As part of our commitment to training and developing young people, we hold mock interviews with years 10 and 11 students at schools across the region, giving students the opportunity to meet real people from the world of employment and practice their interview techniques.

After the interviews, we give the students feedback and areas for improvement. We also give the students feedback on their CVs with tips on what employers will be looking for, how to impress and what to include, hopefully giving students the right skills and tools to gain employment in the future.

In providing this support it also opens up opportunities for us to speak to students about careers in construction, discussing available roles, work experience, apprenticeships and answer any questions that they may have about joining the world of construction. It really is a fantastic chance to get young people excited about the world of construction.
