Presentation to Raise Mental Health Awareness

Sometimes it can be difficult for smaller sites to cover the vast spectrum of health and safety topics.

It is therefore useful for such sites to acquire short and precise information which can be applied to the workforce and health and safety initiatives.

The example below demonstrates how one site achieved this:

  • The site team across the entire region of works have commenced the delivery of a mental health awareness course to each of the site teams. Some have received it others are to get it shortly.
  • It is an eight slide PowerPoint presentation created by Ian Burns and delivered by a dedicated qualified person encouraging men (in particular) to talk about things that may be worrying them (financial, health, personal etc.);
  • Each team is directed to qualified personnel from such charities as Mind, the Samaritans, etc. for assistance with whatever problems that are being experienced.
