Proactively supporting your workforce: Trauma Risk Management

Work-related stress effects a significant number of people within the construction industry.

It is important that site managers take a proactive approach to tackle this issue and provide appropriate support for staff.

Below is an example of how sites can support the workforce:

  • Trauma Risk Management (TRiM) is a trauma focused peer support system, which builds resilience by basing itself on keeping employees functioning after traumatic events, by providing support and education;
  • It can be used for early identification of potential harm, illness or fatality;
  • If an incident occurs on site, TRiM could be used to manage the situation with every member of the workforce and family member receiving valuable support.
