Project Psychiatrist
On this project they have hired a psychiatrist to visit site and provide the workforce with a free opportunity to seek professional health for any mental health issues they may be experiencing. All records are strictly confidential.
Encouraging the workforce to communicate with mental health professionals and break the stigma around mental health is one of the biggest challenges in treating poor mental health. As members of the workforce may feel uncomfortable talking to colleagues or friends, providing a professional to talk to about any problems they might be having will go a long way towards improving their mental health.
The contractor provided an external professional voice to listen to and promoting the availability of such a professional will help to break stigma allow the workforce to more freely express their issues.
