Promoting the Construction Industry to Young Children

We have created a mascot teddy bear (Dave) to promote the Construction Industry to younger children.

Dave the Bear is used in nurseries and schools (ages 4-8) to engage with the younger pupils.

We have a number of presentations on different construction projects including schools, housing and industrial units which include Dave undertaking a number of site activities from attending meetings, looking at construction drawings, driving machinery, using the site canteen etc

Dave the Bear has allowed a more targeted engagement with the younger children with the bear being asked along to a number of school events including world book day and other activities creating a more positive image of the construction industry.

He even has his own badge to get onto site using the biometrics which has his name on it
