Protecting Long Term Health on Site

On the Royal Albert Dock project for Multiplex, we had an open day for RVT Group to attend site and display their products to our contractors. Working on a construction site and not having the correct protection can cause long term health issues so we asked RVT Group to show our contractors how the effects of on-site activities can impact the health of those working there, or nearby.

The goal for us is to have an effective level of control in place and protect long-term health of all our employees and contractors.

RVT group have many products to control dust, noise and exhaust fumes as well as fumes from cutting, welding and paint/ adhesives. They also provide ventilation for confined spaces and climate control to help prevent excessive heat and cold on site which can cause health challenges and potential delays in works.

The visit by the RVT group to site demonstrated what we can do to protect staff and the public, and many of the contractors have requested they demonstrate for them more new products in the future.

Others are in talks with testing some of the products also as they were equally surprised at the potential of how ill health can be further protected against.
