Anti-Bacterial Cleaning Regime

On the Westvale Park Primary Academy project, which is currently in week seven (the enabling stage), with the intention of protecting our workforce, we have prepared and introduced a site specific anti-bacterial cleaning regime which we have prepared in line with the recently published Site Operating Procedures from the Construction Leadership Council.

The site has remained open, and whilst it will remain open, myself and my project team will be following the government’s social distancing guidelines.

We have employed a local full time welfare cleaner who will actively carry out the daily anti-bacterial cleaning regime and formally sign the documentation accordingly for the following areas:

  • Morgan Sindall office and meeting room
  • Canteen and all toilets
  • Drying room
  • Gatehouse
  • Mobile phone zones and smoking/vaping shelters

At our daily start of shifts, we will implement and discuss the following (amongst other measures):

  • Minimising the numbers of individuals working at any one time, workforce will remain at recent levels and will not increase
  • Social distancing on site – keeping people as far away from each other as practically possible (the site is naturally positive towards this factor regarding plant operations and open spaces)
  • Minimising briefings and meetings (without compromising safety) – these will take place outdoors with appropriate distancing where necessary – MS meeting will be conducted remotely via Skype.
