Protecting the Surrounding Environment

Due to the historical uses of the Peninsula, much harm has been caused to the surrounding environment. With the development of the area, we need to to counteract the harm that has been placed on the area.

As we are developing the site in the O2 we believe it is extremely important to look after and care for the environment surrounding the site specifically. With the increased danger to bees in the area we have engaged with Friends of the Earth and donated to their cause in return for a Bee Saver Kit for everyone on site.

We have also engaged them to run a CPD session for our site teams and explain the importance of caring for our bees.

We have also engaged with the local university (Greenwich University) with four students chosen that are currently studying a Masters in Landscape Architecture to design an area of site where our accommodation currently sits to include a ‘Bee World’ and we will endeavour to carry out this landscape design and leave as a legacy behind us as a gift to the client.
