Providing Accessibility for All

Artbeat Studios is a registered charity that offer support and facilities for individuals to paint, draw, hold a lively music group (karaoke) and deliver other craft sessions (glass and clay). Their aim is to encourage inclusion for all in a non-judgmental environment.

However, accessibility has been an issue at the premises. The contractor spoke with the charity about their aspirations for the front of the building, and made a promise to deliver a solution. That solution was the delivery of an aesthetically-pleasing, all accessible, clean space to compliment their new patio doors.

This consisted of a bespoke ramp and patio area accessed from their glazed fire doors which is practial, DDA compliant and now fully accessible as a usable outdoor space.

The team then went further by power washing the frontage and installed a refurbished ‘with love’ wooden bench to help those with mobility issues to take some rest when they need it.
