Caring for the wellbeing of the workforce and providing support during difficult weather conditions is good practice.

Small gestures of recognition and goodwill towards the workforce can go a long way.

For example, when workers are operating outside in the cold weather, providing a warm rest area and warm clothing shows that you care about their welfare and appreciate the conditions that they are working in can be difficult.

This site also implemented regular breaks and provided hot drinks and soup free of charge to site workers to ensure that they had access to at least one hot meal during working hours, throughout the winter months.
