The Challenge
We want to keep our team involved in the development of our targets – waste management targets or our BREEAM score. The data is live and always updated which means we are always printing new posters with the updates on them – it is a big site so over the next four years this is a lot of printing which is a paper and carbon consumption challenge.
How do we provide updated information in a visual manner and reduce our impacts upon the environment?
The Solution
A BREEAM re-poster has been developed which use and re-use post-it style stickers and movable parts so they can be updated without the requirement for re-printing. There is some additional material required, but much less than before.
The Outcome
So far 6 revisions of the BREEAM target board have been avoided – which is an A2 printout from a specialist plotter printer.
In addition, the posters have more of a ‘personal touch’ feel. They stand out to other posters and as such have received more interest and attention. Re-posters are also more regularly updated as it is easier and a little bit of fun as well.
The BREEAM re-poster template/ concept has been shared with other Taylor Woodrow projects. More templates of this nature are scheduled for design.
