For the last five years, Canary Wharf Group has procured 100% renewable electricity to power its Management (CWML) and Construction (CWCL) arms.

However, to help drive the global transition to a low carbon economy Canary Wharf Group (CWG) has become a signatory of the Renewable Energy 100 (RE100) – a group of the world’s most influential companies across multiple industries, all committed to working towards meeting their electricity demands entirely through renewable sources. Signatories include Ikea, Apple, Google, BT, British Land, Carlsberg Group, Coca Cola, Diageo, Ebay, and Facebook.

Being part of RE100 means that CWCL can share the compelling business case for renewables and showcase business action, while working with others to address barriers. Companies gain a better understanding of the advantages of going 100% renewable, and benefit from peer-to-peer learning.

All of CWG’s electricity comes from Guarantees of Origin (GO) certificate backed sources.
