Recording Workforce Travel Information

In order to commit to a good environmental policy, sites should always bear in mind the impact that their daily activities may be having on the natural environment.

Sites should monitor and measure their carbon footprint to ensure emissions are kept to a minimum.

A number of sites have demonstrated a firm commitment to the environment, by accurately recording travel information and measuring its carbon footprint:

  • A biometric turnstile recorded post codes and modes of transport of the workforce;
  • Visitors signed in and out;
  • The site also recorded travel distances of employees and visitors.
