Recruit with Conviction with the BOSS Project

The construction industry is forecasting a major skills shortage in the coming years. Now is the time to look towards a group of unique individuals who are often overlooked.

The BOSS Project is a ground-breaking initiative run by The Wallich, an established homelessness charity in South Wales. Its goal is to re-integrate ex-offenders into their communities by providing skills, qualifications, confidence and on-going support to find employment.

Our dedicated team delivers a programme of learning which is tailored to the construction industry. BOSS aims to remove the barriers to work that ex-offenders face and eradicate the stigma of a criminal record.

Employment is the number one factor in reducing re-offending and ex-offenders are proven to be productive employees. However, only 12% of employers have knowingly employed someone with a criminal record.

With 10 million adults in the UK having a criminal record, there is a large untapped talent pool. Through BOSS, employers can be safe in the knowledge that the we will support you along every step of the process.

By partnering with the BOSS Project, your organisation can benefit from:

  • A tailored and transparent recruitment process
  • Enhanced CSR outcomes
  • Increased employee engagement
  • Obtaining a hardworking and loyal member of staff
  • Play your part in reducing re-offending in the local community
