Protecting and preserving the environment should be at the forefront of constructors’ minds.

Careful consideration should be given to how the site’s activities may impact on the environment and steps taken to minimise all forms of pollution; in order to protect the natural environment.

A pro-active approach to identify and tackle environmental issues that occur on site will demonstrate the industry’s commitment to respect, protect and develop the environment.

An original approach to monitoring and minimising waste includes:

  • Office furniture made from paper based, recycled material being used on site;
  • This was also recyclable when the project finished.
