Recycled and repeat use smoking shelters

Plant room fibre glass sheds which were used as external electrical cupboards, were set to be disposed of.

To reduce waste, the project team recycled these and used them as site smoking sheds.

These have been moved between sites, with only emissions and costs now generated from transport.

Prior to this, a handyman would construct a smoking shed out of concrete ballast boxes, felt roofing and timber – new materials.

These sheds would then be disposed of at the end of the project.
