Recycling on site flooring

The construction industry is finally coming up to speed with carbon footprint and carbon neutral schemes, which is our current interest.

Research and development of these areas by both us (acting main contractor & developer) and our supply chain encouraged us to seek carbon benefits for cradle to cradle of our projects.

Forbo Flooring, which we now use on all of our schemes, recycles the off-cuts in the factory and on-site to produce new flooring.

This process in effect reduces the long-term cost of the flooring and is also beneficial to both parties.

This has enabled us to recycle all the waste flooring material from our sites with 85% of the flooring waste removed from site being recycled.

Structured/organised waste removal from site has benefited us with cost reduction and the positive feeling of improving our work’s impact on the environment.
