Reducing Carbon Footprint

In early 2020, Roadbridge engaged with the local marine vessel to transfer construction staff between Scotland and Ireland.

Doing this significantly reduced carbon emissions as flights from Scotland to Ireland had the environmental impact of 46.25 kgCO2e/person whereas boat transfer from Scotland to Ireland had the much lower environmental impact of 1.22 kgCO2e/person.

This gave a yearly saving on carbon production of 450.3 kgCO2e per person.
