Reducing Dust Exposure from Drilling

Dust is a concern for health risk as well as being a nuisance for neighbours.

One site managed the harmful impacts of silica dust caused by drilling as detailed below:

  • The project has developed a state of the art drilling rig that automates a repetitive hole drilling process (removing operative HAVS issues associate with drilling 250,000 holes) that also has an inbuilt dust extraction system which significantly reduces operative exposure to silica dust.
