Reducing emissions for tool delivery

Any attempts to reduce carbon emissions are hugely helpful towards protecting the environment.

Finding ways to reduce transportation can be beneficial for many reasons including cutting back on carbon emissions and fuel.

The below example shows how one site achieved this:

  • Tool hire company vehicle travel distances are avoided by the use of the e-pod facility which is set up in the compound;
  • Tools are stored in a container and site personnel have fob access to it and the tools for short duration hire;
  • This not only offers convenient access to tools but avoids emissions from tool hire delivery vehicles.
