Reduction of Rated Perceived Exertion (RPE)

PE At the University of Kent, we are currently trialling the reduction in use of Rated Perceived Exertion (RPE) on site.

This promotes well-being by reducing stress on the lungs for operatives using RPE and other members of team not being exposed to construction dust, and inclusion, as one of the issues we encounter are operatives not wanting to shave their stubble/beard.

At present, the trial is going extremely well, and we have received positive feedback from our supply chain. In December, the trial and its findings will go in front of the health and safety directors, and if successfully, will be rolled out to group in January.
