Registered spray cans

Keeping a clean and tidy site is both beneficial for the appearance of the site and also for safety purposes.

Litter can often prove to be a re-occurring problem when trying to keep a site completely tidy.

The workforce should be included in efforts to maintain a good internal and external site appearance and work environment.

It is important to ensure efforts are made to maintain a proactive and responsible approach to site tidiness.

The below example shows how a site reacted to the littering of spray cans:

  • A large amount of spray paint was being used and cans being left around site;
  • The solution was to require signing for cans and then the can was giving a number assigned to the operative;
  • This made sure that any discarded could be found in or around site and traced back to who was responsible.
