Reinforcing simple safety messages

All employees should be aware of health, safety and environmental issues on and around site.

Effective measures can be adopted to provide constant reminders to the workforce.

Below is an example of a simple method of ensuring all employees on site were reminded of the relevant issues:

  • Printed paper cups were provided by the company for use on site;
  • The content on these printed paper cups, included various health, safety and environmental topics and was updated on a quarterly basis by the company and sent to all their sites.
This innovation was achieved on a small site which ran for 10 weeks with the approximate value of £500,000.
