Repairing and Protecting the Thames Barrier

This contractor has implemented Chockfast Orange (PR-610TCF) which is a specially formulated 100% solids, two-component, inert-filled casting compound.

It is developed for use as a chocking or grouting material and is designed to withstand severe marine and industrial environments, involving a high degree of both physical and thermal shock.

This compound has been utilised as a bespoke solution for repairing and protecting elements of the Thames Barrier. The last usage of this product was in the original installation of the barrier and required specialist contractors to install in accordance with specifications set 40 years ago.

This product absorbs vibration and seals voids, is compatible with UK Marine resins and increases quality and longevity of marine based infrastructure.
