Respect Our Workforce Signage

Whilst working on a Highways England major improvements scheme, on a busy junction of the M6/A533, the contractors were made aware of verbal abuse targeted at their workforce by passing motorists.

To mitigate this abuse several signs were erected at various points throughout their traffic management scheme.

The signs advised motorists to treat the workforce with dignity and respect, and that acts of physical or verbal abuse would not be tolerated, and as such would be reported to the police.

As an extra deterrent, motorists were also made aware of CCTV in use across the scheme.
