Hollybrook have signed up to the Southend-on-Sea Borough Council Responsibility Deal.
The Southend Public Health Responsibility Deal enables local organisations and businesses to take action to improve the health and wellbeing of their most valuable asset, their staff. A range of services funded by the deal are available to support businesses to deliver to their staff.
The Deal covers a range of topics – workplace health, active workforce, healthy eating, sustainable travel and mental health. We have signed up to a number of the support sessions and challenges which we will be continuing throughout the construction of the development.
Our first challenge was a Hula Hoop contest. The contest was organised by Hollybrook and Public Health’s Angela Squires, who has been helping our employees/ workforce find novel ways to move! Hula hooping is a fun and effective way to keep active.
The next support sessions that have been arranged are on healthy eating, health checks and mental health.
