In line with Mace current safe riser strategy, the London School of Economics team working on the Building Centre Redevelopment project have introduced a new safety project.
Mace engaged with Hole Solution to produce a design to look into smaller holes with a construction project that will contain RWP vertical cables of up to 300mm max and a minimum of 75mm that are water tight but also structurally level and designed with loadings for storage of materials or safe access/egress.
This product was designed to be easily maintained with very low risk of work at height exposure. It allows safe access through routes and maintains building integrity throughout the building as the construction phase progresses.
This is an international product and the LSE team worked with Hole Solution to create a bespoke model to suit LSE requirements for structural/visual impact.
