Safe Prop System

Constructing suspended slab floors creates several safety risks which need to be managed. Safe Prop is a unique product that makes back propping more efficient and most importantly safer.

The new method of propping concrete slabs was introduced at Cornbrook due to three main advantages it can provide to the workforce:

  • Falling Objects: The spring-loaded attachment prevents the back props from falling over during the curing and post stressing period.
  • HAVS: Removing the need to drill support screws eliminates the risk of Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome during this process.
  • Silica Dust: Removing the need to drill support screws reduces the risk of concrete cancer occurring and prevents operatives coming in to contact with the post stressing cables or various services.
