Safer Way of Carrying out Concrete Underpinning

The project team have recognised the need to eliminate the risks associated with underpinning work.

In collaboration with the subcontractor the have introduced a procedure for carrying out concrete underpinning to external walls where most of the work is carried out by a machine operator and therefore the need to enter an excavation was eliminated and a reduced number of operatives were required to carry out the works.

It reduces the need for operatives digging and forming shutters in trenches so enhancing the site’s safety culture.
