Safety signage visible within safe distance

Ensuring the safety of your workforce is essential.

Safety signage helps to communicate potential safety hazards to everyone on site.

Below is example of how a site has achieved this:

  • A simple magnetic banner sign was designed and manufactured so that it only became legible at a specific distance – beyond the safety distance is displayed a featureless pane;
  • On site, an appropriate operating radius of an excavator bucket was selected, it only conveyed a conspicuous warning to anyone who was too close and at risk of injury from the moving machinery, whether or not visible to the plant operator;
  • This was independent of, but supplemented by the provision of a wireless cut-off, which enabled the banksman to stop a machine independently of the operator.
