Santa’s Grotto for the Community

In response to a request from the local community, the site team converted an old steel container into a Santa’s Grotto.

Firstly the site team made the leaking container watertight, then they refurbished and decorated it with recycled materials (secondhand Christmas tree with decorations, fireplace, carpet tiles, armchair, fake fire insert, old boxes, cardboard, etc., all supplied by local retailers) converting it into a Santa’s grotto.

The grotto was transported into the town centre and handed over to the local community team where it was used as the Santa’s Grotto as part of the “We Are Inverurie” Christmas celebrations week.

The conversion was completed within five days, and involved great collaboration with sub-contractors and local retailers.
