Satellite Internet Connection – Starlink

The project team had no success in installing a stable good internet connection despite trying all types/providers of internet connections. The team therefore decided to install the new Starlink satellite internet connection at the main hub for the works. Starlink provides high-speed, low-latency broadband.

The cost of the connection is 70% lower than the closest competitor, with the satellites being located in the lower earth orbit helping achieve a high speed, low-latency internet connection.

Construction sites are often located in remote locations with limited access to services. Providing a satellite internet connection to these types of sites will help the workforce in staying connected to the rest of the world. More importantly, this will make the communication of the project teams efficient, thus helping deliver the project safely and preventing delays caused due to miscommunication.
