As part of our quality management system, we are continually looking to improve our processes, procedures and forms to mirror the way we work and embed improvements so these are process driven rather than dependent on individual staff doing a good job. This provides greater certainty of a lasting legacy.
We have recently made changes to our standard project pre-start agenda to include details of our registration with the Considerate Constructors Scheme and its Code of Considerate Practice.
As well as this providing a reminder for our own staff before we go to site on a project, this crucially means that all our supply chain on a particular project are exposed to the Code and what we are doing as principal contractor to meet the requirements of the Code.
This is allowing us to play a leading role in getting our supply chain to follow the Code of Considerate Practice and challenge their own ways of working to ensure good practice is employed.
This is in turn allowing the supply chain to take good practice from the Code back to their other projects which we are not directly involved in, ensuring that the drivers in the Code are finding their way deeper into the industry.
