School Gazebo

Last year the contractor discussed with the local primary school how they could help them given they are doing significant work in the area. They identified a need for help with outdoor learning to help support the social distancing measures.

Following these discussions with the school and then local council’s architect they agreed to donate and install a gazebo to help the school with outdoor learning. The project took time to plan and arrange given weather constraints in the west coast of Scotland and the need to undertake the project during school holidays. After a week long installation working with other industry partners, the gazebo was handed over to the school in April.

Marny McCulloch, Head Teacher of Dunbeg Primary School said:

“We are absolutely delighted with the gazebo and I hope that you will pass on our thanks to those involved in its construction. It is a wonderful addition to our school grounds and will really benefit the children, particularly during their outdoor learning activities. I’d like to thank you for your very kind donation. The gazebo will be put to great use.”
