ScissorSafe

To avoid the need to post drill anchors and the need for required ‘pull-out’ tests for essential leading edge works, GMI Construction Group has adopted cast-in ceiling anchors provided by ScissorSafe.

These are designed so that a void former is fixed to face of the form work and cast within the slab, leaving a void for a removable, re-usable anchor to be inserted to clip onto for restraint connection.

These anchors are designed in such a way that the anchorage tool will not allow a connection until the anchor is fully engaged, and cannot close or slip until the user purposely removes the connector, removing the potential for human error.

When the ScissorSafe tool is looked into the concrete, it provides a 12kN capacity anchorage in any direction. In this scenario, it has been used for providing restraint lines for pre-cast panel installation and restraint anchors at lift entrances for door installation.
