Showcasing a factory to school students

Every measure should be taken to protect the environment.

Discovering and integrating sustainable methods to protect the environment is becoming more and more frequent on construction sites and within the build itself.

It is therefore important that not only the techniques but also the mentality is showcased to others.

This will in turn influence and educate the current and future workforce to follow in the same footsteps.

One site showcased the factory process and environmental benefits to local students:

  • The timber frame sub-contractor arranged a visit to his factory for a group of school students, showing the process of manufacture;
  • The visit also included a presentation demonstrating that the use of timber frame construction for the new school saved the equivalent of 180T of CO2.
