Showcasing a Zero Carbon Home

As part of this contractors commitment towards decarbonisation of the construction industry, the staff on this site are leading on the construction of a temporary showcase zero carbon house as part of the COP26 conference which took place in Glasgow.

The design construction of the building is supported by all the supply chain partners on the site, and also involves all consultants and materials suppliers.

The one-bedroom house has been designed to be recycled at the end of its life, so can easily be dismantled.

After COP26 it will be taken down and rebuilt on a rural site near Aviemore. The house build already far exceeds the 2030 Climate Challenge set by the RIBA.
